It's About Time for White America to tell White America the Truth

The Ripple Effects of the Reconstruction Sabotage

The decades after the civil war saw Black Americans slowly gain more economic and political power in some parts of the country. Some bought land, started bus...

I find it both exciting and terrifying that at least some mainstream media is beginning to wake up and tell the story of America's dark past and the debt owed to Freedmen. I'm not sure if I believe the effort doesn't have a deeper and more sinister motive. These past years as a reparationist on the front lines has shown me that there is always an agenda. Efforts to support the Black American cause are often covers in a long-range political chess match orchestrated by media and politicians.

For now though I will hold my pessimism. Both Forbes and Al Jazeera have released short documentaries to YouTube chronicling America's relentless terrorism campaign against new Freedmen after reconstruction, and the flat out robbery of Black Americans' first real salaries through exploitation of the Freedman's Bank. I urge you to spend the time to watch both pieces and share.

I think it is especially important for White America to share this history with one another. For too long America as a whole has been comfortable ignoring the full scale of this countries systematic leaching, terrorizing, exploiting and discarding of Freedmen and their descendants.

The period between emancipation and the Civil Rights Act is purposefully muddied and convoluted in an effort to drown out America's sins, and more importantly its debt.

Over 150 years ago, the U.S. government set up a bank for formerly enslaved people to deposit the money they were now allowed to earn. The Freedman’s Bank was...

The Democratic Hoax

It's time Freedmen face the hypocrisy and downright deception of the Democratic Party. Now before you sigh and say "Here we go talking about the Democrats, but what about the Republicans?" I'm going to just stop you there. The gerrymandering and segregationist leanings of the "Grand Old Party" are very clear. We understand the agenda and we know what we are facing when dealing with the GOP.

I for one, however would prefer to see my attacker coming to stab me in the chest, then to have my throat slit at night by someone I invited into my house. Really I'd prefer not to be stabbed or sliced, but I digress.

The fact is that while the Democrats fear monger to their black base they are simultaneously passing or supporting legislation in Democratic strongholds that have created some of the most glaring racial wealth inequality in the entire country. Connecticut, New York, Los Angeles, all strongly Democratic states and all oozing with poverty, homelessness and the most expensive homes in the country.

Also, these are all states that the left also heavily gerrymander in order to dilute the Freedmen vote incase we decide to fight back. But don't take my word for it. Let Johnny Harris and The New York Times tell you instead.

It’s easy to blame the other side. And for many Democrats, it’s obvious that Republicans are thwarting progress toward a more equal society. But what happens ...
